I've always been really fascinated by them! And it's kind of a funny story, I went with my mom and sister when they were making appointments for themselves and actually I had no plan to get this yet. It was just kind of something I had Sort of been thinking about getting, then I got to talking to the artist about the potential of it and he got really excited about doing it for me and what we could do with it... So I let him take it and run with the idea ...a few weeks later I went back and did it. It is definitely the favorite among all my tatts. Pics don't even do it justice, it is so amazingly detailed and just absolutely perfect.

I'm more used to eating squid than seeing them in a tattoo! lol Great individual and unique piece!
What is the grey bit towards the left of the squid? I'm not sure of their anatomy so don't know if it is part of the squid or not, sorry for my ignorance! lol.

Those are fins at the top of his mantle...or body. They don't rely on them to move though, they Move by jet propulsion, they suck water into their mantle and shoot it out Of a siphon. Squids are weird, but I'm such a nerd for them! I just love them! Haha
