If you could get anything done, what you it be? Some people don't think of plastic surgery as body art, but it is body modification.

I have always wanted to get my tongue split but i know that it would make it like 10times harder to get a job and that makes me sad.

Personally, I don't think I could do it unless it were medically necessary. Something about it just freaks me out, maybe it's the 'surgery' aspect of it. To each their own, but it's not for me.

Honestly, most people won't even notice until you stick your tongue out at them. Drama almost had it done! But backed out. That doesn't fall under this category though.... as it is not done by a doctor. But, I could be wrong. I really don't know too much about it. But I watched a chick on TV for months, and you could not tell until she showed it. And she talked a lot! haha

OK, I was wrong... seems doctors and plastic surgeons can do it... but body modification practitioners can also do it. I am sure they have to be specially trained in this. I have actually never met any one that actually had this done. But I am sure that more people seek out people other then doctors to do it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue_splittingDrama... care to shed some light on this topic. I know for a while you were considering having this done.

This is another body mod I cannot get my head around! I enjoy having my tongue whole! I am not sure what the attraction/benefits is of getting it done!
if anyone who has it or considered it would enlighten me as to why you want it done, it would be much appreciated. I don't get it......lol Maybe I am getting old or something! Haha.

I had my nose done, but it wasn't cosmetic. I would get it done again to make it smaller, but spending that much on me seems greedy when you have 2 kids and 1 on the way.

Thanks hunny! Support is a must, and after the first few lbs that come off, the will power gets easier and stronger. I still have my frustrations though.

Do you have toning exercises to try to help the elasticity of the skin? I'm not even entirely sure there is such a thing! lol

I know for a while you were considering having this done. Yea I had the consultation and booked an appointment to have it done but literally backed out half hour before I was meant to have it done. I know several people who can do it, and yea they have been trained. One of my old friends who pierces and does performance art split her own tongue on stage at a fetish show. But as far as I know, the training isnt that difficult. I considerd being trained up when I was piercing a good few years ago but I had other commitments. A thorough knowledge of the anatomy of the tongue is a must!! It's good to know about scaring too and how to do sutures (which needs to be done if you want the "rounded look") I love plastic surgery, not that I've had any. I like the fake look... Amanda Kepler, pets burns... HOTT! I'd probably have my lips done at some point.. Not ridiculously big, just plumper. Defined, high cheek bones are lush.
